Some people have asked for a tour of my house. I’ll post links to the photos and descriptions here, but not the photos themselves so that this web page won’t take unreasonably long to load.
Please use the "back" button on your browser to come back here after checking each photo. The "backspace" key is usually a shortcut for that.
This is a view of my front door from before the snowfall.
The view from my front door, after the very first snow. There are heaps more of it now.
The bottom of the trail leading to the supermarket and bus stop. This was taken right after the first snow. The speed limit sign indicates the road where we all got pulled over because Mike was driving 55 miles per hour.
This is the sign on the bus stop down the street from my house, at the bottom of the hill. Because the buses only start at 0824, we have to take a car in order to be at work on time. We hope they’ll add earlier buses soon.
We use the appliances a lot. They’re not very big so I do laundry about once a week.
The kitchen. It was never anywhere near this neat ever since we moved in. This is the only place I am likely to be found outside of my room.
The living room, as seen from the top of the stairway from the master bedroom. Mike (in the silly beanie) is watching Josh play a video game. The guy at the bottom is Carlos, one of Vanessa’s friends. He’s from Argentina.
The master bathroom has two sinks. Josh took these photos to advertise the house.
The whirlpool bath and big shower are the reasons I picked my room.
This is my room. It is a bed in a closet. Turns out I really don’t need any more than that.
Here is the rest of my room. All the clothes on the bottom rack are Vanessa and Josh’s. Vanessa asked to have that one because she’s too short to reach the top ones. All the junk along the right wall is also their junk. Formerly it was scattered around their room.
This view out the window of the Red Pine Lodge (the central on-mountain restaurant at The Canyons) was taken on our first training day, when it started snowing on the mountain.
